I'm still halfway convinced that this song is the result of someone who is musically very capable making fun of Pearl Jam, on a level no more serious than, say, Tenacious D. |

I can't stand this one live, and I had convinced myself at one point that I genuinely disliked it. Then a few years ago I let the studio version play through when it came on the radio, and having not listened to it in years, I was really taken aback by how beautiful it was. I still virtually never go out of my way to play it (and have no desire to ever hear it live again), but when it comes on, I pretty much always enjoy it. |
