Apparently it was really hot in Nashville 2000. Some guy also sang Smile shitty
It was obscenely hot Nashville 2000. I was 22, 5th row center and thought I was gonna drop out under that cover. Air was stagnant. Just shitty. Hottest show I've ever been to.

The heat is why I didn’t go. If I went I would’ve had to sit outside all day with Mrs Wease at a yard sale then go to the show afterward. I distinctly remember it was over 100 that day and there was no way in hell is was setting up at a yard sale.
The guy that sang on Smile is from the town we live in.

I finished US tour 2000. Brisbane 2003, holy shit, did they suck that night.
I haven't listened to the 2003 tour in a very long time, but the main thing that sticks in my head is how Ed fucked up both "Hail Hail" and "State Of Love And Trust" in the same spot almost every single night and sometimes it would cause a big trainwreck and it used to drive me insane. I guess nobody ever bothered to pull him aside and say, "hey fuckhead, re-learn the song...".
