The graphic inside the cover was actually decent. Miles ahead of the actual cover.

Ugh, please tell me you're not referring to the zombie head pyramid?

There was a head.
With cavities in it.
Never saw it as a zombie head tbh.

And a decent piece of artwork as far as album art goes.

I love the cover of Avocado but you have me there- I do have a rare eye disease.

Great

Yield: Very simple but compelling and enduring image. Evocative and memorable. Fits the album? Yes, both sonically and thematically.
Riot Act: Cool image. Kinda spooky. Reminds me of Ozymandias. Fits the album? Yes. Points to the album's murkiness and themes of weariness, defeat, existentialism, the nature of power and its transient hold in the face of mortality.

Good

No Code: Lots of detail, really cool to look at in LP size. Kind of like Pearl Jam's take on Achtung Baby. Doesn't really cohere into a single image when you zoom it out but so what? Fits the album? Yes, No Code is a multicolored album that goes many different directions.
Vitalogy: They took an existing design and straight-up cribbed it, but it works. There's something weirdly sinister about it that works well with the brittle darkness of the album. Fits the album? In a weird way, yes.
Gigaton: I like this image. I'd be excited to listen to this album if I didn't know what it was. Fits the album? I don't think so. Screams loud and heavy, but what you get sits comfortably with Coldplay in the adult contemporary station.
Vs: Maybe a little on the "edgy" adolescent side but it's a cool image and the goat kind of looks a bit like Ed. Fits the album? Yes

Meh

Binaural: It's a stock space image that by itself doesn't do much for me, though it works when paired with the music. Fits the album? Yes
Ten: A big cheesy bro hug, which fits Ten because it's a big cheesy album. Fits the album? Yes
Backspacer: I like Tom Tomorrow. I don't think this is a great design. Fits the album? I guess

Bad

Avocado: Real stupid-looking. Fits the album? Not really
Lightning Bolt: Looks like a Canva template. Fits the album? Yes, inasmuch as it's Clip Art for a band that sounds like a Clip Art version of itself

Yield is not a great album cover. The jamily’s obsession with it is weird. It literally a Travel Channel title card with a yield sign imposed

Riot Act is by far their best cover. I don't have any strong feelings about Yield. It's okay.

No Code - hands down, still find it very compelling to this day, no other artwork entices me to spin side A like this

Vs
Vitalogy
Yield

Riot Act
Binaural
Gigaton
Ten

Backspace
Lightning Bolt
Avo-fucking-cado

Odd how this so closely fits my album rankings. If the leaked image is accurate, that's a very bad sign for Dark Matter.

No Code is their best.
Avocado is their worst.
Yield is slightly overrated.
Backspacer is underappreciated.
