corduroy gets the vote. eddie vedder at the absolute top of his game everywhere. that intro riff is so simple but so propelling. the studio version is as good as anything they've ever done in the studio. his voice is monstrous coming off of those first three chords. its one of the best songs they've ever written and encapsulates everything great about the first three albums.

oh i think the opposite: they'll open with a restrained number to really play out the tension. Release or Long Road, followed by Corduroy, would be ideal.
