I used to hear the lyric to "Corduroy" as: "They can, by the can, put on my clothes."

I thought Eddie Vedder was talking about leaving his clothes on the bathroom floor and then giving someone else license to put them on.

You don't give lyrics much thought when you're 13.

The very first time I heard Spin The Black Circle I thought he was saying "space man, spin the black circle".

Uh, I'm pretty sure I gave them more thought than this when I was 13.

Same, only at the time I had a bootleg version of Vitalogy without the tracklist, so I kept on thinking that for at least a year.
