For the 256th song, I say include one of those rumored titles like "Cigarette Song" or "Navy Bean" -- I'd be interested in seeing how far a hypothetical, nonexistent Pearl Jam song could advance as a placeholder in a contest like this, and what qualities people would project on it when voting. I imagine some would refuse to vote for it on principle, but I could see others voting for it over any number of commonly disliked songs (i.e. much of Backspacer or Lightning Bolt) as a statement. Depending on matchups I could see it advancing at least two rounds.
What's the rationale for including Into the Wild and Ukulele Songs in this?
It's weird, since the solo output of the other members have often been stronger than that of Ed. Certainly there are songs that are superior to many of the Ed songs.

I go through it in the original post, but a few reasons:
1. I needed more songs to get to 256 so we could avoid having any bye rounds. It makes setting this up MUCH easier 2. I wanted to include some songs we haven't voted on before 3. Those two albums got us most of the way there (and it is the bulk of his solo output - everyone else but mike has a lot more music) 4. I know the Eddie solo stuff WAY better then everyone else's solo stuff, and because you can fit most of it in the space available.

Eddie’s cover of Growing Up might make it a few rounds, or we could use Far Behind by Candlebox and Far Behind by Eddie Vedder as a first round matching of the titans.
