Really? You can hear the chord progression, individual guitar parts, what Matt's doing on the drums, you can hear snatches of Ed's vocals, etc.

and Sigur Ros!

and every previous Pearl Jam song rolled into one!

Never heard of his Sigur Ross guy... is a comparison to him a good thing?

I can get the very rough gist, sure, but I need more detail, more nuance, before I can really hear what's going on.

Shut up, Jorge.

I really couldn't hear much at all from that Mind Your Manners clip, the quality of this is much better.

Ok, I caved and I had a listen. The quality of that is so bad that we can't even be sure that this is even PJ. I could be any band, famous or not, doing a sound check anywhere. There is nothing in the clip that can conclusively confirm this is PJ.

However, the vocals are very close to Eddie's style:

You're out of your mind. The MYM video was so much clearer. I could even make out some lyrics kinda!

I think PJ should record their whole album like this. BOB will just stand outside the room with an iPhone and record it all. No masting, mixing, or any production required. Badda bing, done.

I just can't be sure.....maybe I'm hearing a different clip than everyone else, but I can't even hear much of a vocal. Yes, the basis of the song sounds cool, BUT, I need to be sure what I'm hearing is legit....otherwise......it's not. I hope that makes sense.

Man could you imagine the discussions then. Although bootleg sales would probably increase.

I guess everyone's ears and brain process sound differently, the instrumental bones of the song are really clear to me. I could conceivably sit here and work out how to play the song on guitar.

I've definitely heard worse audience recordings.
