i just moved this to 1-star because the first 2/3 of the song is so shitty it definitely overweighs the presence of guitar solo at the end
Lots of people saying they don't like the first part. I don't get it- this is how mellow, atmospheric Pearl Jam always sounded.
hollow, atrophyspheric pearl ham indeed

Agree - another song I didn't expect to see from them at this stage of the journey. This is Pearl Jam in form - the song grows on you with each listen.

Yup, this is a wonderful song. Four stars from me. I don't think it would have fit on Gigaton. But this is a solid, heavy pearl jam song that we haven't heard in a while. Would of fit perfect on Riot Act. There's a weariness in Ed's voice that's fits perfectly with the heaviness of the chorus.

I'm really enjoying this song. I wish it didn't fade out, but that's always the case.
I'm not sure what I'd replace, but I would have liked this song to be somewhere in the middle of Gigaton. As much as I like all of the songs, the album does drag a little in the middle

He's just got this soulless, dispassionate, breathy, shell of a human sound to his voice. Like somebody's bad attempt at singing in a rock 'n roll band, not a real person trying to express something he actually cares about.
I must say I like the time signature and could imagine liking this song if the vocals and vocal melody weren't so bad.

Can't Keep holds up. I still like this weird kind of PJ song. Ed sounds OK. Save You is kind of good and exciting, somewhat boring and repetitive but mostly Ed sounds pretty bad so that brings it way down. Love Boat Captain is comical, like they're making fun of themselves unintentionally. Cropduster is OK but Ed annoys me here too. It's like he doesn't know how to breathe properly. "death behhhh..d" I like the guitars. Ghost is Cropduster but not as good. The "away, away" part is cringey. Matt's drums are cool in this song. I Am Mine is more Love Boat Captain. Thumbing My Way could be great if it weren't for Matt's completely out of place drumming. You Are, I admire for what it tries to do, but it fails. Get Right is OK but I want for to say it's kinda dumb. Green Disease is OK but a little cringe worthy. Help Help is just dumb. Bushleaguer is dumber. I've always liked 1/2 Full. This is the kind of song PJ always did well. Like Red Mosquito. But Ed sounds a little weird here too. He sounds like a bad actor. Like Ben Affleck doing heavy drama in that dumb gangster movie he made. All or None is a really good song overall.
