Isn’t Dave A still sitting on Owner of a Lonely Heart? You could befriend him to get access and then ultimately betray him for internet points on an obscure fan board
Dave A is the one who got rid/sold/lost these tapes. Most of these cassettes, if not all, belonged to him. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't make any copies of these tapes. Who's sitting on this stuff is known, reads this thread, but doesn't give two flying shits. He's waiting for the second coming of christ to share the rest, apparently. And yes, I'd love to hear Owner of a lonely heart. That two-second teaser was more like a middle finger pointed at us PJ suckers than anything. I wish he were like that guy who uploaded, all at once, that Radiohead collection. Now, that was a real treat.
Guys, I am not a moderator! I swear to God! Why does everyone think I'm a moderator?

What is the point of holding on to it at this point? Unless you are worried about legal issues, the number of people that will fawn over you and call you the ultimate Pearl Jam fan for sharing is rapidly decreasing. The band is well past their peak and PJ fans are either dying off or turning in to old Dead Head type fans.

If he was worried about legal issues, he wouldn't have shared those random tracks we have from these tapes. I mean, don't forget this person publicly posted about it (around 2016, IIRC) directly on the Ten Club forum. People were asking questions about these cassettes, and he came out and told he was the current owner and shared some info about the tracks etc.. You can easily still find the related thread on the TC forum, he posted with the nickname "cockage" over there. Not exactly the behavior of one who's worried about possible legal issues. And there would be a billion ways to post anonymously on the Internet, anyways. I guess at this point he's just sick of people requesting stuff, especially on here. But if you wave a salmon in front of a bear, you should expect it.

I could be misremembering, but I seem to recall he had a bunch of his Pearl Jam stuff (including some awards, etc.) in a storage unit that was sold off when he stopped paying the fees.

You remember right. I don't think that's 100% confirmed, but apparently that is what happened.

You wish. Anyone who paid even just a little attention knows he already posted in this thread, and even his full name is well known. He used to give out some crumbs (a few tracks) a year, but now he stopped completely it seems. The worshipping has ended, and with it his motivation.

Yeah, it seems like that. But maybe he just overwhelmed by all the work. As far as I know many people offered to help him with the organizing, labeling, digitize etc, but he kinda refused. But would love to hear Cockage's take on all this. Legal issues? Personal issues? We are all here to help with getting the tracks out, but it's been what? 8 years by now? Must feel like a burden by now

Back in the 4/20s, a guy used to come and post "treats", some soundchecks, and little riffs or takes of some songs: IIRC this is the list:
- Its Ok tag - Faithfull - Brain of J - Parachutes Riff - Rats - Dream A Little Dream Of Me
Do any of you have them saved? I lost them a while ago when my HD blew up and I wanted to listen again.
Thanks.
I remember those. If I recall correctly, you can find them on:
- Its Ok tag (several official bootlegs) - Faithfull (Yield) - Brain of J (Yield) - Parachutes Riff (Avocado) - Rats (vs) - Dream A Little Dream Of Me (Ukulele Songs)

Full scenario:
- Purchases a pile of tapes for a hefty sum - Finds out they are mostly crappy instrumental boombox rehearsals - Trickles out excerpts in various audio formats and deliberately mis-labels them as "studio outtakes" and "demos" - Hoards the most desirable things - Receives maximum attention from gullible fans despite not sharing full tapes in appropriate quality - Gets his money's worth
