Everything about River Cross is better on the album than Ed solo.

I love the full band version and I loved the COVID special solo performance, so I guess it’s in Footsteps land for me.

Of all the songs on Gigaton, "Retrograde" is the biggest grower for me, and has become an absolutely Pearl Jam classic in my opinion.

This song has had a steady climb for me as well. On first listen was at the absolute bottom of the pile and now a year or so later probably now in the top half.

“It’s gonna take much more than ordinary love to lift this up” Is a gorgeous lyric lbh.

The ending is great.

One of my favs. Has taken over Comes Then Goes as my fav ballad from the album.

I feel that in some ways this is both the most accessible Gigaton tune to non-PJ fans and the most experimental song on the album.

I think it's the most accessible for sure, but it's not that different from Sirens.

Hmmmm, that's an interesting take. Sirens might actually be my least favorite PJ song. I like Retrograde, and it's been a grower for me as well.

Not to get too sidetracked, but Sirens is one of a few PJ songs that I absolutely adore as well as shudder at. It and Love Boat Captain both have insanely weird structures/musical choices that I don't particularly like, but the lyrics are so earnest and damn.

I don't feel that way about Retrograde. While it starts out sounding like B O'B era sanitized PJ, its structure turns out to be amazing in my opinion.

I can see the comparison to Sirens, but Retrograde is a far superior (and less cringeworthy) tune.

Im so glad Brendan was out from this song. It would have suuuuuck so hard...specially with Jeff saying that he wanted the space jam cut.
