One bad ear and one eye blind
It takes a village but don't take mine
Living forwards in a backwards town
I feed 'em drinks just to watch 'em drown
Swallow my pencil and bleed out my pen
Surrender the wish we'll be together again
And I won't give up
I won't give up
On satisfaction, satisfaction

Gave up on satisfaction

Pull myself aside on a sleepless night
Sadness blurs, I'm in need of a light
Out of balance, balance, balance this time
I'm feeling fading, calling as I'm falling out of sight
As the silence gets louder my heart gets pounding
And ventricles pumping, working overtime
Our freedoms fraught with danger being circumscribed
A life cut short and circumcised
A rubble of commandments from the road, step aside
A rubble of commandments in the road, step aside

FUCK YEAH!!!!!!

this is the sweet spot worth the price of admission

This is so fucking good on headphones. This song alone would have made my year.

I feel the same way about a good number of other tracks on this album.

This has definitely become my favorite Gigaton song.

I think I've said this before, but this section is possibly the first time a PJ studio recording captures the feel of the live mid-song detours that the band did so well from 2000-2006 :nice:

I honestly think this would be a five star song were it not for the synth interlude, which brings it down to a four.

It's a guitar part and I love it anyway.

This song would benefit greatly from a 15-20 percent reduction of words.

Most of the words are in the breakdown, and that’s the best part of the song, and maybe my favorite lyrics on the album.

It is the best part of the song, but could still use fewer words.
