I'm eating crow big time on "Superblood Wolfmoon." I think it's my 4th favorite track on the album now (behind "Dance," "Take the Long Way," and "Buckle Up").

I wouldn't go so far as to say it really annoys me but I hear you. It is the least successful part of the song

you mean those three words are annoying? I don't get it

No just the way he sings them. Sounds like it's the wrong note or something

"who ever" is one note, then "said" is a half-note below that, so I kinda get that feeling but it is correct

I love that part, it's a kind of intentional dissonance we haven't really heard in Eddie's writing since the Binaural/Riot Act era (unless you count the ukulele songs, though many of those date back to that same time). I wish he incorporated more of that stuff into his writing.

I totally agree, and I feel like the song mirrors that melodic dissonance by throwing in a dirty grunge chord here and there where you'd expect majors

The chord progression is interesting and im surprised he can get so much melody out of it. Classic Ed stuff

Yeah I love that descending half note in the chords at the beginning of the chorus. It's melodic and rather catchy but it's not obvious, feels like all the tension of the verses is added up in that little moment (and is quickly released after).

I like this song a lot, either this or Buckle Up is my favorite here.

God dammit, this song rules too.

It's really weird but by far my two biggest growers for this record have been the first two tracks. I was very "whatever" on both for a while and now they're all I want to listen to.

And Ed's lyrics are on point here. He really raised his game this time around.

I’ve got this as my second favorite on the album right now. Just like so many songs on Gigaton, the second half of this song rises to levels unexpected. Ed’s singing beginning at the lyric “One bad ear and one blind eye...” is vintage Ed. It’s aggressive and driving momentum rhythmically. I love it, he sounds incredible. What a great song.
