I always enjoy standing on Stone's side of the stage at shows. He's the RM of the band.

The big difference with Stone is they chopped his balls off and made a necklace out of them for Ed to wear somewhere in the mid to late 90s.

I think Stone has a great bullshit radar and agree in some ways that he’s the ‘problem.’ His comments about Eddie circa PJ20 and beyond come across as deadpan sarcastic.
Who knows, maybe he’s been storing up resentment for a long time but is in a tricky spot considering the place the band hold with business, internal relationships, fans etc
Ultimately I feel his resentment might stem from being the nominated leader and chosen one to fire the Ockus. Must’ve felt like a badge of convenience considering shortly after this and the Ticketmaster fiasco his ‘leadership’ was swiftly removed by the golden child...What’s going on now might be his payback but I’m almost certainly wrong in my opinion.

I mostly feel bad for Jeff Ament in the whole deal. He clearly had creative ideas that could have played out with the band on Heaven + Hell and ended up releasing them on his own. That is a real solid album that had it been tinkered with further could have possibly been the best Pearl Jam album since at least avocado. Mike’s collaboration with him on Safe in the Car alone stands stronger than possibly everything on either Backspacer or Lightning Bolt.

yeah, he seems very angry with the band too. The fact they dont spend time in the studio, the tours with the same material...And yes, Heaven Hell is such a cool album

I don't know that he's "angry at the band," per se -- he seems like a pretty happy and grateful person. But I do think he must be frustrated. He's made a perpetual commitment to the creative lifestyle, and his comrades -- formerly one of the best bands on the planet -- is tied up with kids and other hobbies.
Guys blame Ed all you want but Stone hasn’t done much musically outside of Pearl Jam in 10 years anyway.
He obviously finds his passion elsewhere these days.
Brad 2012, Moonlander 2013, Lightning Bolt 2013, Temple Of The Dog tour 2016, plus whatever Pearl Jam has done. If you said five years I wouldn’t complain.

Who can blame Stone? Eddie demanding him to bend the knee and literally kiss his ring on stage in front of thousands at MSG is humiliating. I doubt he's forgotten it.

For those who don't remember, I believe it was MSG 98. They'd just finished playing Hail, Hail. Eddie turns to Stone and says "kneel." Stone looks visibly confused, Eddie then screams "I said kneel." Stone obeys like a dog and Eddie gets the crowd to start chanting who's your daddy now.
