I'm now thinking Fall of '25. They seem to now wait 6 months to see if the last batch of songs hold up. They supposedly did this for Lightning Bolt where they came back to songs months later and realized they weren't so great.
For Lightning Bolt or Gigaton? I mean, if it’s Lightning Boot, I would love to hear what they had that they went and started over. Was it just Stone trying to emulate the Alive riff on didgeridoo?

I seem to remember an interview for Lightning Bolt where Stone said they recorded a batch of songs in 2011 and they thought they were pretty good. When the band came back to them in 2012 they didn't like them anymore. I'm unsure if they kept anything for Lightning Bolt.

Dirty Frankly I don't think they give two legs about making records. They are so fat and lazy. It's all for the fans, because they themselves are rock geeks. They mean well, but if they aren't in it for flat out world domination it's just a cheap trick. It is a game of slight of hand. So it turns into a push pull loop in quantum realm. Up side is it all upside down and they came up on the down side with merch and swag. I am totally stoked about the new Pearl Jam Fortnite skins. At least we have these. Holding out hope that I can also score the My Pretty Eddie porcelain doll complete with the interchangable hair styles for my wife. It will look great mixed in with her Inuit dolls

this was them at the peak of their powers. they were more likely to take risks when they were younger too. I feel like the older you get the more risk averse you are.

I don't think the issue is that they sit on stuff, take more time in the studio, etc. I think the problem is that it's increasingly difficult for them all to get together and that slows down everything.

They all have lots of money and basically no job. I'm sure it's not actually difficult for them to get together if they actually want to.

Kids. They have kids.
As a parent, I can guarantee you that's most of the reason right there.

As a parent, I really don't think so. It's not like he's a single dad of two toddlers.

I think complaining about the speed it takes Pearl Jam to produce an album is tired. I'm guilty of complaining about it as much as anyone, but at this point any new music is gravy I think. See Earthlings.
