As long as they release Lost Dogs 2 soon I'm ok with a new album in 2024
But I also think that this band functions better when they are not overthinking things. I'm pretty sure I would prefer two records in four years than one. Because I also think thosetwo records would be better than the one where they took their time....

I am fine with 2024. Take as much time as you need to get it right, my dudes!
Fuck that. That’s been their excuse since No Code. They’re not growing roses here. They’re writing songs then recording them.
With you on this. I don’t think they are taking their time to get it right. I think they just don’t feel like it, which I guess is fine, except if I just don’t feel like it for 4 years I would have a hard time maintaining my employment, even with 30 years in. Really it’s 2 albums in 11 years, or 3 albums in 15 years. Half their careers sitting on their hands not feeling like recording.
Perhaps I will put them down Til they have something new for me to listen to. I’m goin’ haungray….

I tend to believe in that as well, these big bands really are overthinking too much plus/because it's a business endeavor at this point, the end result is usually not that exciting.
I wish they'd try to be more spontaneous and lofi too maybe, it could be more interesting at least, even if the songs suck.

I've been wishing forever the would bang a album out in a week. Go in with all new ideas. I would go as far to say maybe go in with some clearly defined job titles. Give it 40 hrs in 4 days commit to release what ever comes of it.

I'm now thinking Fall of '25. They seem to now wait 6 months to see if the last batch of songs hold up. They supposedly did this for Lightning Bolt where they came back to songs months later and realized they weren't so great.
