Man I love this song, and wish they would open with it at shows, or just play it more. What a great album closer this is.

Also, I still think iceagecoming's cover of this is the best Pearl Jam cover I've ever heard.

Easily a 5 star song for me. Definitely one of their best closers, and probably my favorite song on this album (maybe tied with Insignificance).

I agree that it would make a great opener at shows.

I love everything about this song. It has this sense of a volcano ready to explode. Right beneath the surface. You can feel it, you know its coming....at some point....just not now.

The tension gets me everytime. Along with the subtle playing and the great lyrics and vocals.

Just love it.

5 stars. Such a beautiful closer. It keeps getting better as it ages. The ending is probably the best moment on the album. Does someone cough at 2:03 or is that percussion?

5 stars - Loved it, still love it.
This one and Rival are my favorites from Binaural

I think I played this one (and maybe OTG) the most when I first got the album. Remains a solid 5 star PJ song for me.

Still haven't seen it live though.

Fantastic song, but it would be a shitty opener. It's better later in the main set or to start the first encore.

I think one of my favorite PJ moments ever is closing the main set of Chicago '00 with Black and Parting Ways. An unconventional and excellent move.

Definitely one of my favorites; love it both Ed solo or full band.
One of the top shelf tracks of their whole catalog.

5 stars.

Top-5 PJ song for me.

Loved it when I first heard it, and it just gets better with age. Really wish they'd pull this one out more often. I'm glad have had the opportunity to catch it live with the Full Band and Ed Solo.

Listening to this song now...

"Behind her eyes there's curtains and they've been closed to hide the flames" is maybe my favorite opening lyric in their catalog.

I loved in the 2000s when they did the whole Sonic Youth approach to this one.

Love the guitar tone on that crashing E chord.
Great song.

Live version from that Neil Finn 7 Worlds Collide is great

Best band version I've heard is from the Detroit show in 2000.

The version from Touring Band 2000 is maybe the best moment on the whole movie. So amazing.

Well that and the it’s okay tag.
