I know I said some of this stuff like a year ago in this very thread, but whatever.

This song...it's so weird to me...

It just feels like this song could have been so good, but its let down in the end.

The song starts, the vibe is very cool. I really like the atmosphere of this song and the melody of the verses. Its very intriguing, and sounds great.

But two problems...

The "How he makes his getaway" does absolutely nothing to me. It totally kills the vibe of the song, and makes it feel like its all building to nothing. If this is the chorus its by far one of the worst choruses in the whole catalog. It's awful. I'd rather it do nothing but verses if that's what the chorus is going to be. I wish that something else was going to go here, because IMO its one of the worst instances in the catalog of a cool song being halted by building to something awful.

Also the lyrics are really bad and sound like Eddie is rambling about nothing while barely bothering to rhyme or anything.

The melody of the verses and the vibe itself are great though, I just can't give it the score Id like to due to the chorus. It brings down the entire song, which in general I love. Feels like the band discovered some cool vibe and a cool tune for the vocals, and then Eddie rushed the actual lyrics and chorus to get something out fast.

Of the Girl really opened up for me when I saw them do it live on the Binaural tour. The fog machine was cranking, the lights were low, and Mike was looking sexy doing his leads with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. It set a tone for the song that hasn't left me since.

I remember using the high demand for that to my advantage when rickrolling a few people.

5 stars, all day long.

This one was on my list of songs I'm desperate to hear live, and when they played it in Leeds back in 2014 I nearly lost my mind.

I just need Parting Ways and In My Tree, and then I can die.

I've got Parting Ways, and In My Tree (and Tremor Christ - all at Philly 3 2009), but Of The Girl eludes me :(

I got "Of the Girl," "In My Tree," and "Parting Ways" all at my first show (STL '00). Still never heard "I Got Shit"...
