Have a good time, team. I don't know live versions well enough to participate. It'll be weird not being involved in one of these but it'll be good for me, probably.
You still have to listen to just one love version of each song, Joe. It doesn’t matter if you know a bazillion different versions of every song. The specific live version is already chosen. At least that my understanding.

I'm in this same boat. But I might download the comp and participate anyway. I dunno.

just playing this out. in order to meaningfully vote, one has to listen to each song that is up in at least the first round, correct? that's like a 130 songs right? that's a pretty big time investment.

it is. I was thinking to cut each first round match up down to 4 matches (8 songs) over two days. It'll take a long while but it gives people a chance to listen

Once an admin makes the forum visible March(ish) Madness will have begun. To give people time to listen to the songs round one will just be 4 matches over two days. So it's gonna take a while, but it's not like we have anything better to get to...
Ignore the haters Stip! Thanks for organising and coming up with something a bit different.
I imagine the first few rounds will be a bit of a slog and most votes will probably be based on the quality of the song itself rather than the performance, but it should hopefully get interesting in the later rounds.
I'll look into bulk uploading mp3s to youtube to make sure there is an easy way for people to listen to each track
