I love this song in the European 2000 shows. Slow opener - Breakerfall - Corduroy is a very, very solid first three songs.
Absolutely true. When you hear that opening chord, and bitches start jumping, you know you're in for a fun 2-3 minutes.
My only time hearing it was during the baking humid heat of Barcelona 2006 (the Ole, ole ole ole show). Ed says "the next song is one called Break her fall" and, if all my bodily fluids had not evaporated by that point, I would have shit, pissed and came in my pants.
After the song, I felt someone nudging me from behind - a "move across I want forward fucker" move in European GA circles. Having had quite enough of rough uncouth fucktards by that point, I stood my ground like 16 stone of prime Northern-Irish beef. It was only when I noticed the people next to me move that I witnessed some poor passed out Catalan lady passing by with some concerned medics.
I guess the moral of the story is: skull-baking heat turns me into a bastard, and Breakerfall makes me want to lose control of all my bodily functions.

At least 4 stars. Was obsessed with Mike's work after the 'party on earth' line on the 2000 tour.

I'm a fan of the music and the lyrics. It was great fun as a live openner too!
Nah, it's a perfect second song for a concert.
Jeez, what an unpleasant post.
it's not that unpleasant IMHO.
What's unpleasant about it? Jeez.

I believe 74 was responding to chud as he kinda shat on my experience of having BF as an openner and doing the Boston "nah, you're wrong" thing. But there's no way I'd argue unpleasantness with an Englishman nor a Frenchman.

Its a nice song, It has never stand out for me though. Definetely not their best opener. Still it has some nice stuff, especially the riff. Id like to rate it 4 stars, but I like the majority of the catalog better, so 3 I guess.

Oh, OK that. The tone could've been taken as unpleasant I guess.

I just listened to Binaural and this song came on and this might be one of my least favorites in the entire category. IMO it just sounds SO BAD!!!
I see kind of what they're going for but it just does not work. Even the title bothers me, but regardless...its just a boring boring BORING song that just drones like a lot of this album and Riot Act, Eddie sounds bad on it, Jeff is doing some cool stuff but somehow it just doesn't sound good. It's like they wanted to go for a classic rock thing and they just totally flattened it or something. Or smushed it with a steam roller.
Stip once said God's Dice was a fast song that somehow sounded like everybody in the band was falling asleep and I so agree and feel it for this one too. Ive never heard such boring rockers. It's like it sounds like it has energy and movement and yet somehow you listen to it and feel like its putting you to sleep
