He doesn't even play on the studio recordings, and you can barely hear him live.

They overused him for a while when Ed first brought him into the band (random organ solos, etc.) but I forget he's even there when listening to the shows in the last few years.

Ed was pretty pissed off at the Hershey 2003 show and he said some questionable things but it was oh so much fun.

I don't mind that Ed was an idealistic young man that looked down on those who disagreed with him when he was younger. I don't mind that he's changed and since reversed his stance on many of his earlier ideals. It is kind of embarrassing that he's still an idealist that looks down on those who disagree with him. I would have thought he'd have at least one moment of introspective thought and realize just how much he has changed and maybe looking down on those who disagree with him is maybe not the best kind of person to be.

Never meet your heroes. They will only disappoint you.

I was thinking of something somewhat similar in that with Pearl Jam, in all situations they do exactly the opposite of what I hope they will do, and that those results are more often than not shameful, so good for me right? Except not--because I want them to do what I want. So there will be less shame. Probably the last decision they made that was a good one was Pearl Jam Radio.
