yeah i listened to the whole thing – it's a classic Lump move

although, to give Lump credit, it was scarily believable

First song is "The Noise The Noise." I like this one waaaay more than Safe In the Car. Lots of 80s no wave influences, and Jeff's vox are pushed back a bit.

Now he's playing a solo live version of Peter Gabriel's Here Comes the Flood. The Gabriel influence was all over the last RNDM album, seems like he's continuing down that path.

I don't love this song, but The Noise The Noise was awesome, would definitely play the album a lot if it sounded more like that one.

Apparently the album cut of Safe In the Car has a 2-minute McCready solo at the end, it's just been cut from the single.

PJ's pledging a "minimum of $1M" to the Seattle homeless problem. I'll certainly gripe about the next album when I'm inevitably disappointed, but whatever, if they sell a bunch of tix it's worth another Lightning Bolt if that's what the Jamily craves.
