Bee Girl (Just a) Girl Stupid Mop Amongst the Waves Gonna See My Friend Let the Records Play Leash (I cringed at this song even when I was a teenager) Soon Forget (just a little too on the nose) Ole Olympic Platinum
Not saying Just A Girl is great in any way, but I think it's a decent Ten era song, with some cool history. Wish they would play it at least one more time live.

"Help Help" is fantastic; a great example of everything they did right in Riot Act
I have some issues with Riot Act, where I adore about half the songs, like a few of the rest, and then there are some songs that hurt the overall experience. This was a first for me, as I love Binaural, and the albums before it. My favorite part of Riot Act is the warm sound, which I feel is the opposite on S/T. If S/T was more like Riot Act, it might even have been a better album. Some of the lyrics are among Ed's best as well. Full of heartfelt lyrics.
Ghost is a cool song, but could have been a great song. It has a part in the chorus that lets the song down. Bu$hleaguer with the cringy lyrics. Get Right we have already talked about. Green Disease is just ok. Help Help has some cool music, but I really don't like the lyrics and how Ed sings them.
Tell me lies Tell me lies, tell me Tell me lies, tell me
Tell me why Tell me why, tell me Tell me why, tell me
I love Love Boat Captain, I Am Mine, Save You, Can't Keep, Thumbing My Way, All Or None, Cropduster, You Are, most of Ghost. Have no complaints about 1/2 Full, while Arc is ok for what it is. Anyway, we've discussed this before in the Riot Act thread. Happy to see that only Riot Act songs I love have made it this far in the March Pearl Jam tournament.
They are all powerful songs, especially lyrically. I was dealing with some stuff at the time myself, and they really spoke to me.
Thumbing My Way
I let go of a rope, thinking that's what held me back And in time I've realized, it's now wrapped around my neck I can't see what's next, from this lonely overpass Hang my head and count my steps, as another car goes past All the rusted signs we ignore throughout our lives Choosing the shiny ones instead I turned my back, now there's no turning back
Love Boat Captain
It's an art to live with pain, mix the light into grey, Lost nine friends we'll never know, two years ago today And if our lives became too long, would it add to our regret? And the young, they can lose hope 'cause they can't see beyond today, The wisdom that the old can't give away
All Or None
Here's the selfless confession Leading me back to war Can we help that our destinations Are the ones we've been before? I still try to run on But it's all or none To myself, I surrender To the one I'll never please

Why do so many people hate Just Breathe and The End so much? Those are two of their best songs from that album. Is it cuz it sounds like it should be on Ed's solo stuff?
It's music for soccer moms. Lame.
And Ed's I-have-a-cold voice is unbearable.
I've never been able to make it all the way through The End or Future Days. I wish the last two albums didn't exist. I'd be fine if the last three didn't...I kinda love Riot Act and I'm glad we have it but honestly I could live without it too. Binaural was the last album that had songs I figure are mandatory must haves. That was a long time ago.

There is nothing as awful as Future Days. I think the bands knows it and that why they are barely playing on it. Its the worst song in their catalogue by far.

I hate all these mopey sadsack lyrics
These came along at the perfect time for some things I was going through at the time. Just because they are mopey does not make them bad or disgenuine. But I can understand if they don't connect with everyone.

7 Ed tracks that should have stayed Ed solo tracks
Soon Forget Thumbing My Way Gone Just Breathe The End Sleeping By Myself Future Days
Of those I reluctantly admit that Gone works as a band song. I don't like it. Same could be said for Speed Of Sound except I like that band performance.
