Severed Hand is great.

It really isn’t. And it’s clearly worse than Marker, Parachutes, and Unemployable.

It clearly isn't.

The demo/leaked version is infinity times better.

You guys have a big boner for demos/unreleased songs.

I typically don’t. But I do have a boner for being able to decipher bass notes. And I also like listening to guitars that don’t hurt my ears because the production/mastering is so unfathomably shitty.

Well, see, here we can agree. I don't like the production of Severed Hand, either. Totally agree with you there. But the song is still a great song, just a great song that's poorly produced/mastered.

Did you ever listen to the leaked version of Severed Hand?

Yes.

This difference is astonishing to me.

I guess. It's still the same song, though.

Unemployable is fantastic, some of my favourite guitar work in any Pearl Jam song.

Easy vote for Severed Hand here, so many better songs have been eliminated.

Yeah, it’s the same song but in the demo you can actually hear what the individual instruments are doing. Jeff sounds fantastic, and the guitars don’t sound like fingernails on a chalkboard. All the good stuff happening in this song is so neutered on the album that I can’t enjoy it. Bottom line, I still think Marker, Parachutes, and Unemployable are better songs, but it would be a lot closer is Severed Hand sounded like it should.

I like Parachutes but not as much as Severed Hand. Parachutes is a little too one-note, phenomenal as it is, to break the top 5.

I like all four of these, but I think Unemployable is my least favorite of the remaining. This list is pretty much my top 4 on the album, with 5 going to Army Reserve.

MARKER IS THE BEST SONG ON THE ALBUM CHEWM

I actually changed my vote to Severed Hand. I love both songs though, just not as much as Parachutes or Unrmployable.

I'd much rather see Severed Hand go than Marker. It sucks to see SH go, but... better that than Marker.

I know I'm in the minority here but I love WWS so much.
I wish the singles that came after it were half as good.
