The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
CEO of DropBox (IPOing today) had a Pearl Jam Cover Band. He named the company after PJ. From 2 different articles:
"A Pearl Jam fan, Houston in 2005 formed a 1990s cover band called Angry Flannel, which played at venues around Boston."
“We were incorporated in May 2007 as Evenflow, Inc., a Delaware corporation, and changed our name to Dropbox, Inc. in October 2009.” — Dropbox may indeed be the better way to brand a file-sharing service, and Evenflow might be best left to the music business. Pearl Jam’s song “Even Flow” from its 1991 album “Ten” was reportedly the influence for Dropbox’s original name.
I'm a member of this vinyl service that texts you with daily offers and then you text "yes" to buy the offer or ignore it or replay "own" to tell their algorithm that you already own it. Anyway... Into the Wild was today's offer.

I replied "yes."
what service is this?
The Sound of Vinyl, I think? I honestly don't remember what it's called. I'll see if I can research it for you. They just text me every day with an offer and I can grab it or not.

It's nice because it's no monetary commitment. You sign up. They send you a text. You chose to buy it or not. No pressure. Not subscription. You just pay for what you want and they tell you what shipping costs up front. Plus you can tell them what you like so they can recommend things based on your tastes. I really like it.

i was out to dinner last night with some friends and the radio played Yellow Ledbetter and Man on the Moon. It followed up with Brown Sugar and I realized that we are as far removed today from when YL and Man on the Moon came out as we would have been when those songs were new and Brown Sugar was ancient classic rock.
Plus captain marvel is being set in the 90s and labeled a 'period piece'.
