Listening to this video up to the first chorus....

Honest question. Is it normal for a band's guitar players to be so damn bad at playing their own songs?

McCready sounds like a kid learning how to play guitar in this vid.

Seriously BOTH MIKE AND STONE ARE SUCH SLOPPY PLAYERS. Mike is great at soloing but they're so bad at playing steadily.

He messes up the pattern a couple of times in the first few measures, and then he settles into it. It is not a big deal.

The entire first verse is in and out of being in time, and its sloppy in general

And now forever memorialized for eternity

the capstone of the definitive documentary about the greatest basket ball player to ever live

hand in hand with Jack Irons cathartic crescendo and jeff ament's groovy bass playing in present tense

I never think of Pearl Jam songs as working in the context of sports highlights reels but this worked...even better than MLB completely reconfigured the meaning to Can’t Deny Me for their World Series promo.

"I guess the point of that song, which was a rare good moment on the first of many terrible Pearl Jam albums released since..."
