I haven't looked to see if these are assigned seats or if it's like a normal movie.
It's probably "like a normal movie." Assigned seats are part of this theater's normal MO.
Some people like it b/c if you plan ahead, you don't have to worry about getting good seats or saving seats. Of course, you decide on a movie last minute, you're guaranteed to be in a shit seat, even if you show up 20 minutes early.

"Let’s Play Two is a documentary film that chronicles Pearl Jam’s legendary performances at Wrigley Field during the Chicago Cubs historic 2016 season. With Chicago being a hometown to Eddie Vedder, Pearl Jam has forged a relationship with the city, the Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field that is unparalleled in the world of sports and music.
From Ten to Lightning Bolt, the documentary film shuffles through Pearl Jam’s ever-growing catalog of originals and covers - spanning the band's 25-year career. Through the eyes of renowned director/photographer Danny Clinch and the voice of Pearl Jam, the film showcases the journey of this special relationship."

It's probably a seat lottery where the people from TFT somehow get the best seats.

I'm sorry?
Not a fan of baseball and I fear there may be quite a few EdVed interview moments that'll be awful. Looking forward to the music.
Yeah, I wonder if this is going to be a project that just doesn't translate very well to an international audience; like an Australian band playing their favourite AFL oval and talking endlessly about football and football players, only occasionally interspersed with some tunes.

As an American who doesn't care about baseball but will cheer for the Milwaukee Brewers if he has to, I look forward to skipping past all of the Cubs BS.

Nah, it's a weeknight at 7pm which is way too hard; it'd mean I'd have to finish work and then hang around the city so I can go to a movie, meanwhile my wife is at home feeding the kids, getting them ready for bed, school the next day, etc.

Now I feel guilty for being a selfish bastard.
Haha, now, now, we'll let your wife be the judge of that.
