I still remember back in the day in the pre internet days...hell, in the pre youtube days how hard was to find a video of a performance from the band. And the other day i was watching a new movie in a theatre...

Man, we are blessed.
I think Touring Band was the first time I had seen a video of the band play a song not on a TV studio set.
Those Jason A archive videos were always funny and amazing to me because it was all of the video clips i had also recorded off the tv throughout the years but combined into noe beautiful project. Watching those old MTV clips and remembering watching them on repeat in my bedroom off vhs tapes i recorded. I knew pearl jam was going to be on MTV news and i would fucking capture it.
Tabitha Soren and Kurt Loder were my fucking heros with all the pj news they provided.

Here's something that caught my attention: In the PJ Rolling Stone special that just came out, there is an article from 1993 that says, regarding Vs.:
Quote:
"Pearl Jam" (later released as "Vs.") was the band's turf statement...
This was weird to me, because I definitely remember seeing digipak editions of "Vs." in the '90's where the word "Vs." appeared nowhere on the album art (on my edition it appears on the spine but nowhere else). Was "Vs." originally released as a self-titled album? If so, when did they change it?

I don't ever remember it being anything but Vs. Although digging out my CD for the first time in ages i'm surprised that it doesn't mention "Vs." anywhere on the packaging...not even the spine.
It was definitely going to be Five Against One with the last minute change to Vs. But i can't recall it ever officially being a self titled album.
