Im sorry but I love Matt Cameron as the drummer for this band. He is always so interesting to listen to. Many times he will play and approach the song differently. In very very subtle ways but its there.
Im posting here now just because im listening to Black from Wrigley and the variability in his playing during the outro is so fucking wonderful. I love it.
I feel he's unpredictable often times compared to the other drummers. Its probably because he's bored but fuck...its great.
My complaint with modern day PJ is them not utilizing his talents enough.
Jack is my favorite but I like Matt a lot and prefer him to Dave A. by some distance.
Oh, i dont mean for this to turn into a drummer debate. But i just wanted to point out how interesting MC can be. He is such a better musician than everyone in the band and that often times starts to show within the hidden halls of many of their live jams.

I was just meaning to say that I like Matt too
i like you more.
Back atcha, buddy.
I was up in the middle of the night last week and I found myself on Youtube watching a better-than-decent video of one of the 2016 shows (Jacksonville maybe?) synced up to the soundboard audio. It was excellent -- I haven't bought the boots regularly since 2010 or so and have had my share of objections to modern PJ but damned if that didn't make me want to head over to 10C and start buying shows.

I think the 2014-2016 shows are pretty fantastic. The band is playing better than ever and Ed is doing the best he absolutely can with his limited abilities.

Must be something in the air, I listened to part of the first Philadelphia show from 2016 on my way to work this morning and enjoyed the hell out of it, warbles and fumbles be damned.
