Don't do it, man.

Suppressive post!

As Billiam Shakespeare once said, "theplatypus doth protest too much."

Yeah! He who smelt it dealt it, platy!

This would have been a real nice little EP.

No it wouldn't.

 I do like the idea of them just releasing EPs now. Like every two years, give or take, release an EP with 3 to 6 songs.

You know what, I think I kinda want to do it. I may give this album a spinplay via iTunes tomorrow.

Listened the other day. It's fine as a chapter in their career. The mid section of JB > AtW > UK > SSonic is just brutal though. UK shines in that bunch and the catharsis of the piaon instrumental break feels genuine. Feels. But there's not enough feels. SoS can't help bring the album back though FoN does a great try. There's a fair mini album here GSMF/GS/TF/JG/SoS/FoN but on an album there's just not enough substance.

As has been said repeatedly, good try that would have benefited from more releases around it. It isn't strong enough to stand tall on it's own.

Why the love for Amongst the Waves? It's a slog to get through, the guitars sound weak and Eddie sounds terrible. Lighting Bolt (the song) works so much better as a big anthem.

I do believe backspacer will have a renaissance among us in time. Not so much S/T tho

There's already many of us ( ) who recognise S/T as a great Pearl Jam record.

Backspacer's biggest problem? It has bad songs. A lot of them. Just a bunch of boring, bad songs that I have no desire to ever hear again. There is little or nothing that could change my dislike.
