About the International Knockout Mouse Consortium

The members of the International Knockout Mouse Consortium (IKMC) are working together to
mutate all protein-coding genes in the mouse using a combination of gene trapping and gene
targeting in C57BL/6 mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells.

The IKMC includes the following programs:

Knockout Mouse Project (KOMP) (USA)
CSD, a collaborative team at the Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute (CHORI), the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute and the University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine , led by Pieter deJong, Ph.D., CHORI, along with K. C. Kent Lloyd, D.V.M., Ph.D., UC Davis; and Allan Bradley, Ph.D. FRS, and William Skarnes, Ph.D., at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute.
Regeneron, a team at the VelociGene division of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc., led by David Valenzuela, Ph.D. and George D. Yancopoulos, M.D., Ph.D.

European Conditional Mouse Mutagenesis Program (EUCOMM) (Europe)
North American Conditional Mouse Mutagenesis Project (NorCOMM) (Canada)
Texas A&M Institute for Genomic Medicine (TIGM) (USA)

Lonely Planet: Tiger Mountain (2013)

1. On Tiger Mountain, people reek of sound. There is no odor. Eno always sounds the best. When you walk near him, a low ambient hum the color of dawn wafts through the air.

2. Fripp sounds like brakes grinding, metal on metal. Dangerous and shrill.

Z. But I'm getting ahead of myself here. There's no vocabulary on Tiger Mountain and certainly no machinary.

4. when Fripp and Eno are walking near each other, you'll want to cover your ears. Resist that instinct.

5. And here's why., Fripp and Eno's sound becomes something rather pleasant when taken in together. I've often found myself intoxicated in their company while visiting Tiger Mountain. It's nice to leave your words behind when travelling.

6. For what is language, really, but a foreign currency with a low exchange rate?

the kind of breeze on which the perfume of an expertly rendered mulberry pie might like to hitch a ride: mild but keen, inviting yet imperceptible

With so few garments to help convey a dressed-up bearing, each accessory becomes that much more important. Because of the belted waistline's visibility, relating it in either mood, color, or texture to the footwear below immediately advances the outfit's overall harmony. Likewise, echoing one's hair tone in the choice of accessories can also promote the cause. Given clothing's role in leading the viewer to the observed's communications center, his face, reiterating one's hair color at the waistline and again at the foot is another highly recommended stratagem.

and here the sweltering air thickened before him, and a transparent citizen of the strangest appearance wove himself out of it. a peaked jockey's cap on his little head, a short checkered jacket also made of air...a citizen seven feet tall, but narrow in the shoulders, unbelievably thin, and, kindly note, with a jeering physiognomy.
