It uses a command line interface but once you figure it out it works beautifully. I needed to trim some bullshit off the end of an mp3 for a mix I'm making but didn't want to transcode. Wallah!

It may not be as good any more, as In haven't used it in years, but mp3trim was a good free little app the simply let you cut mp3's up without recoding them. (IIRC).

Edit: chud's suggestion is probably better, however. He knows what he's talking about.
