The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

For the last couple weeks I've been experiencing a lot of what I suspect is jitter in my internet connection. Mostly affecting voip/video chat and online gaming. It's really annoying when I'm playing mario kart online with friends and I lose connection before finishing the cup.
Making this thread mostly just to vent my frustration.

Yeah I did a test on packetlosstest.com using the largest packets possible and for the longest duration possible and got lots of jitter. I've changed nothing on my end to cause this, and I've reset my modem and router multiple times. I really don't want to have to deal with Comcast.

For the first time in about a month my Internet does not suck right now. Was able to play 3 consecutive games of Mario 35 and didn't get disconnected once. That's been the hardest game to maintain a connection to since I've been having problems. I just pinged google's DNS 1000 times from command prompt and not a single packet dropped. I've been averaging about 40 missed pings per 1000 since this started.
