The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

Meh. It's easy to navigate. That's all I care about. I don't do anything very system-intensive.
And windows 10 isn't?
My wife has it on hers and I think it's a pain to use. I hate that they replaced the start menu with that impossible monstrosity that covers your whole screen with colors and icons. I can't figure it out. Seems very unintuitive.
Are you thinking of Windows 8?
Maybe? We bought hers less than a year ago and it had the newest one.

Windows 10 doesn't have that horrible startup thing. Or it's hidden? Anyway, I hated Windows 8 because of it, so 10 was a big improvement for me. Even though I'm fairly certain you could disable that menu on 8 anyway.

Well that's good to know. Though I still don't imagine I'll be replacing my computer for at least a few years.

Also, yeah that's Windows 8 that has the start screen. Windows 10 has a weird hybrid between the classic start menu and the windows 8 tile screen. It's better than 8 but I still use classic shell to get the win7 menu.

Verm, if you're not worried about Vista, you shouldn't worry about Quicktime. It is strange that the government suggested it's removal, though. Maybe you should be worried?
Can you create a profile on your wife's win10 machine and use iTunes there? Inconvenient, yet more secure.
I recently bought an app called FlacTunes. If you use a Mac, download the app, then just drag and drop your flacs in the app, and it auto converts it to ALAC for Macs. It's great for when folks here on RM post FLACS of PJ treats. I think it was only $3, and I've already got my money's worth out of it.

Right now? Save all of it for moving expenses.
In all seriousness, look into shipping via Amtrak for stuff that is not super breakable, nor any furniture you don't want to see get banged up. But it's great for media, kitchenware, linens, things like that. Might allow you to rent a much smaller and cheaper rental truck/trailer for the stuff you want to haul yourselves.

I've been using Apple Music during the free trial period and have thoroughly been enjoying their playlists and the algorithms that choose them for me. This is pretty unforgiveable, though. I don't have that many files on my hard drive, but I think I'll switch back to Spotify on principle.
