The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

Sometimes. I just hope you realize that sticking with an obsolete operating system for this long means you're computer inevitably won't work just fine, as you say it has been.

I have no need to spend money on a new computer right now, and there's way I'm spending money to upgrade my OS, especially since I hate the new Windows OSs. I'll probably just have to find an alternative to iTunes to use for now.

Either way you're using an OS that Microsoft no longer supports. You might find yourself in a situation where you can't do something to keep yourself secure again in the future.

That's a bummer, because there are about 50 things that rank far ahead of replacing my computer in terms of money. And even those things are delayed because I'm moving.

Also you say you don't like the newer Microsoft operating systems all while using the worst of the versions that could be considered modern.
Meh. It's easy to navigate. That's all I care about. I don't do anything very system-intensive.
And windows 10 isn't?
My wife has it on hers and I think it's a pain to use. I hate that they replaced the start menu with that impossible monstrosity that covers your whole screen with colors and icons. I can't figure it out. Seems very unintuitive.

There are programs you can download that make the newer versions of Windows look more like the old ones. I use Classic Shell on Windows 8.1 and it works great
