I am insanely good at this. Anyone who knows me can tell you that if you're looking at my phone's screen, you see zero air bubbles and the edges are aligned near perfect. That being said, I've never been able to hit that perfect application of a screen protector. The area around the home button is always just a little off center. Nearly undetectable to the human eye, but I know I fucked up every time I hit that button. Maybe one day I'll get it 100% centered.
My 4th of the year failed me last week, prompting an emergency visit to the Apple store.
My phone was in my jeans pocket as I was changing from work clothes to riding clothes. When I put my right leg down after putting on my shorts, I stepped on the pocket side of the jeans on the floor and heard a baaaad crunch. I knew as I peeled the spiderwebbed protector off that the tempered glass never stood a chance. In hindsight, it wasn't the protector that failed. It was me.
