It was really windy overnight and kept hearing banging against the house. This morning I checked what it could be. Tree branches, maybe? But no, didn't think they were within reach of the house. It was a Panel of Siding come loose. Guys, what does one do about this? Is this normal for new homes? I can't reach it and don't have a ladder. Should I call the builder with the builder's warranty, or just be a man and find a way to do-it-myself? He's already coming on the 30th to fix the leak in the bathtub overflow.

Vinyl I think. Looks like this:

I don't have any experience with replacing that, just wood siding. I'd just ask the builder to take a look at it.

I'm going to. I looked into that. Gutters are a sham.

as someone that once paid ~$10,000 for a black mold remediation (due to the previous owner), I can tell you that proper water drainage is arguably the most important thing you monitor for your house. that means:
have gutters
have downspouts that take the water away from the house
have proper grading
have a sump pump
have a de-humidifier in the basement running at all times
don't let it happen to you

How does a house pass inspection without gutters?
That is so bizarre to me.

Also, vinyl siding is super easy to pop back in place. But, make your dopey builder fix it.

Yeah dudes I live on top a hill basically the water runs away from the house. There is a minor problem area in the front yard but I'll address this eventually. I don't have a basement or crawl space and the roof overhangs over a foot

there's no time... just raze the house and rebuild

Also there's a sort of drainage hose leading outta the yard. You know gutters actually tend to cause alot of issues in and of themselves. I think this builder knew what he was doing but I will be sure to ask him if he's a moron face to face when he comes on the 30th and I will keep you posted

i suggest you pull a gun on him just to see how he handles it
