... appears to be stuck at 65% for months. We only use propane for furnace, which has run alot cause it's been very cold. This can't be right, can it?

Use an ordinary magnet to confirm the needle is actually moving. If yes, then i'd read this quick article and consider your last fill date and avg temps since then:

https://www.hunker.com/13415892/how-doe ... evel-gauge

If something still seems fishy, then i don't know what to tell you. Call the pros, i guess.

Thanks. Yeah, I had already tried the magnet and its not stuck. I guess I should call someone.

This is a new home. I just realized I can call the builder with the one year builder warranty

A guy's coming out to look at this today. I should be outta propane by now, really.

Just gotta call WHAT A relief. The guy came out and tapped on the underground propane tank with a metal bar and it moved the gauge. Apparently the float was stuck. It's at 19%. I have a very very efficient house. Most homes go through well over 500 gallons with furnace alone in a winter. I'm so happy right now. Gonna wait to fill it when the prices drop this summer.
