I have taken NO drugs today. No booze. No weed. No nicotine. Wow. It's not even that bad. I almost cried a couple times but it's ok.

Dev are you still off the pot? You're apt to go through some heavy mood swings if you've been using regularly and then quit cold turkey.
I didn't smoke last night which probably explains today a little. I start thinking real fucked up when sober. So I thought fucked up and then I craved today while I felt like shit, and then I smoked and felt like shit. It mostly makes me feel shitty these days.

I am also trying to quit. Mostly I'm doing great with it, but all it takes is that one day where I'm super stressed and my shoulder hurts and I know I won't be able to sleep, and I give myself a pass then immediately feel bad about it.

Yeah, it's a weird thing being addicted to this shit. I can totally relate. I wonder if this is the universal experience of addiction.

Marc Maron was talking about these sorts of habits as being just another thing that needs managing, and it struck a chord with me. Like I'm always trying to manage: Am I stocked? If I'm using today, have I enough time to sober up before I see company or have to drive somewhere? Are the product and the Visine making an obvious bulge in my pocket? Did I remember to hide my paraphanelia before my in-laws arrived? Will I have enough hours to wind down before bed? Shit is stupid.

Mentally I am over it, but it's harder in practice.

Love this kid lol. I get what he's saying.

This video changed my life.

I haven't smoked weed since 2014. Was never something I did on a regular basis anyway. Haven't had a drink in probably three months or so. At this point I drink alcohol maybe two or three times a year and when I do it's only a beer or two.
