Looking forward to the last time slot of the week. Hopefully we’ve got some 9/80 guys on the board who can join.

Taking the opportunity during this plunge to grab SQ and hold it for a bit.

How’s everyone’s portfolio looking?

I really shouldn't have looked at my retirement fund over the last week or so. Had been looking alright there for a wee while, but not so much now

With Facebook shares doing a nosedive, is this a prime time to buy?

I’m gonna start using that phrase - wee while

Use it wrongly tho ...like when going down a roller coaster , holler "wee while" and stand up

Argo, are you still enjoying the Robinhood app?

My SQ stock is still interesting. It started taking a dive the last few weeks, but I held on. Now it’s going up again on Bitcoin speculation. It’s been a fun ride with this position so far. I’ll probably invest in a few more shares when my tax refund kicks in.

I love Robin Hood! I sold everything off last August (I think I had made about 8% in 6 months). I put $100 in there about six weeks ago, and that is now up to $106.58. 6.58% return in six weeks is pretty good.

That’s the good stuff!

In the early days of the app, there wasn’t a limit on day trades like there is now. No limit on day trades + no brokerage fee made the app feel like an addictive smartphone game with real money stakes.

Still a great app, but I miss jumping in and out of penny stocks for quick gains.

Yeah, that three day lapse between when you sell a stock and when you have access to that cash again is what keeps me reasonable. I tend to buy a stock when I think it is bottoming out, and set an automatic sell for when it will reach a 10% return. Sometimes, I'll get bored before it gets to 10% and sell for less.
