I laughed aloud at this. The way the sentence ends with that wonderful typo is just magnificent.

It’s mind boggling just how stupid the “average” person has become.

Then consider that about half of everyone is dumber than the average person. Well, not exactly, but close to it.

What scares me most are the people who are too stupid to know they're stupid.

is there a bigger train wreck that causes you to both not want to look at your FB yet makes you want to check your FB than the breakup of a very toxic marriage?

I have some Facebook friends that apparently only get on like once a day or once a week. But when they do, man do they share the shit out of everything they see, all in succession

I'm gonna deactivate for my birthday. If I do that, nobody will get a notification, right?
I'm just a voyeur, now. That last thing I wanna do is thank some jerkoff from high school for wishing me a happy birthday.

i can't figure out CHOMP guy. he posts the most mundane stuff on facebook. just pics of practically everything he encounters through the day. i don't know if he thinks people care? or he's incredibly lonely? he's from the area, his family is in the area, so it's not like he's trying to keep parents in the loop.

he just posted a receipt for his new contact lenses, show a $10 copay and saying, "Thankful for good insurance coverage!"

his other pics today have included:
- a rather normal building under renovation downtown, saying, "Things are moving along" (2 pics, both almost exactly the same)
- a zoom-in of his lasagna lunch, saying, "Haven't been here in a while! Still good!"
- an unopened package from Amazon saying, "New jacket has arrived!"

and this uncaptioned pic of a bowl of soup / cheese dip??

You could just remove your birthdate, or choose to make it private

Are you sure you're not friends with David Lynch?

not much at all. it's hard to scan through his feed bc he also posts about 35 articles/day. but with a very quick scan, i'd say out of his 484 friends, he probably probably averages 2 like's for a personal update/image (generous guess there), depending on the subject.

his news links probably average 1-2 interactions. a lot of them go completely unliked or not commented on, but then he'll post something that is pretty divisive, and 5-6 people might chime in
