Don't you have a girlfriend?

I do but she is not sure she can commit to that trip. She is an immigrant in the process of getting her citizenship so her green card is kind of technically invalid now while she waits for the next step. There is some uncertainty as to what her green card status is right now because of all of the nonsense surrounding the process.

why don't you just marry her?

This is a good idea. Then we can honeymoon on these tickets.

oooo baby. Just found a flight for $565 from Denver - Munich - Rome for a couple weeks in March.

May have to pull the trigger on this one. A few days in florence, few in cinque terre, then a cheap ryanair flight to Morocco....

That sounds like fun. Where in Morocco?

Not sure! This all just came up today. Never been, any suggestions?

I’ve never been either, bur sounds very interesting.

She wants to be able to vote this clown out and to be able to travel freely in and out of the country.

I actually preferred Dubrovnik, Croatia to the coastal cities in Italy.

Half the price, a quarter of the tourists, just as beautiful.

Just put in for an Airbnb for five nights in Brooklyn. Looks like my wife and I will be spending our anniversary in the NYC area around Christmas time.

Where do I even begin with planning the days?

We like bars where we can make friends with the staff
We like hearty food, heavy on the cheese and sauces
We like breweries
We like to window shop in neighborhoods we feel safe meandering in without a map
We are staying pretty much on the border of Williamsburg and Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Also, a Broadway show and/or other touristy Manhattan experience is probably going to happen too. If you had only one day to be a tourist rube in Manhattan, what would you do?

Yea we’ve both been to New York City before, but neither of us have done it while being fully functioning adults. Last time I was there was 2004. I was 22 and I saw a Yankees game, ground zero and the Hello Deli and that’s about it.

If you only have 24 hours, I would recommend Yankee Stadium, ground zero, and the Hello Deli as your three must-sees.
