Local H and The Toadies are playing Stubb's on the 10th and 11th. I only know because a friend is going. I just saw the show a month ago. $20 well spent. Also, I think he said he's going to a college football game. I don't follow it - is that the Longhorns? You could have a real bro weekend.

I love Austin so much.

Go to the white horse tavern and Nickel City. Super beers and fantastic burgers.

so i'm flying to paris with my 2 kids on tuesday night, and my wife is meeting us there on wednesday night from frankfurt where she has meetings. we have a normandy excursion set up for next friday (and will be doing all the other paris stuff -- louvre, notre dame, eiffel tower, etc.), and i'm really excited about that. and i'm sure once we get there and have a night's sleep under our belts by thursday, we'll be fine. but holy crap am i anxious about the flight there and dealing with my jet-lagged kids on no sleep all day wednesday before my wife meets us.

i may be flying back home alone.

You could get lucky and the Jet-lag wont kick in until you come home.

Currently in Mexico. Staying at a resort on the Riviera Maya with the family, so we're relaxing and not really seeing any sights.

Today though, we're going on a day trip to Coba to check out some Mayan ruins. Apparently this is one of the few sites where you're allowed to climb the pyramids. Seems kinda nuts, but maybe I'll give it a shot.

I'm doing the theme park thing with my kids in Anaheim - Disney and Universal. If anyone needs tips on how to get Disney done efficiently, I'm your guy. We have done every worthwhile ride and never waited longer than 30 minutes.

Going to Universal Hollywood tomorrow. I've never been. Any tips would be appreciated. Fucking expensive, and only one of my kids is dying to do it. The rest of us would rather hang at the beach. He read all the Harry Potters this year, so I owe him

my travel day from yesterday went:

1) 45 minute delay for departure to Dallas (this happens at least 85% of the time from the airport i leave from when visiting home)
2) Sat on tarmac in Dallas for 45 minutes after touch down
3) Missed connection to Seattle
4) In line at customer service to get new ticket and there's about 70 people in front of me. Woman in front of me pukes on floor.
5) Call customer service while in line, 35 minute wait time
6) 35 minutes pass while I moved up about 3 people in line, get new ticket via phone, people around me pissed when i leave, like i beat the system
7) Get hammered at Chili's (highlight)
8) Middle seat between 2 large fellas
9) Have to pee about 2 hours into 4 hour flight. Can't get out of seat bc dude on aisle is asleep and I can't wake him. Kinda wondered if he died?
10) Fall asleep to not focus on need to pee
11) Dude in window seat spills his entire Coke in my lap, with ice
12) Sticky crotch and underwear the rest of the flight
13) Sit on tarmac again in Seattle for 30 minutes bc some dolt in the very back needed "emergency" service. Seemed totally fine, but he got off the flight first
14) Get home 12 hours after leaving parents house. Not sure how that happens, considering I was in the air for only 5.

At least I get to work from home today. And drive 3 hours to Portland tonight.
