I’ve been to neighboring towns Kankakee and Manteno for work. There’s nothing down there.

Spring break in the Southwest. Spent Sunday in Death Valley. Hit 68 at the low point and was snowing a few thousand feet up. Monday/Tuesday at Lake Havasu to visit my parents. My dad took me out into the desert in his Razor. We did not cook meth. Today was the Grand Canyon. Hiked the South Kaibab Trail. Beautiful. Only did half of what I wanted to (got to Cedar Ridge) due to weather. Tomorrow Antelope Canyon and Friday Zion before heading home.

We are doing Antelope in April. Grand Canyon too but I'm less excited about that.

We did lower Antelope. Half the cost, and because of the steps, no little kids, elderly, or obese. No brainer, I think. It was gorgeous, but you’re part of a herd. I much prefer the Grand Canyon, which allows for separation.

We're doing lower too in order to escape at least some of the toddlers and geriatrics.

Ken’s Tours is who we used. Our Navajo guide TJ was adorable. He’d make jokes, and every time he’d say, “Just Kidding,” and then giggle nervously. I tipped him $20.
