Dang dude. Hoping the industry (and you of course) can rebound from this.

You could send him some Popeye's gift cards to make up for what you did in the food forum

Good for them

So this guy looked pretty good size during the video interview but has the face of a 12 year old. Hard to believe he is a cop. Anyway a sweet kid. Says he can’t get through a shift without having to put at least one person in a tourniquet and gets flipped off/cursed at constantly and just wants out.

Oh so he's actually tired of helping people. Maybe less good for him.

Yes that is precisely what I gleaned from talking to him.

When some dudes got shot nearby, the cops were using a towel (provided by a local resident?) for a bandage. I offered my kit, but they ended up not using it. They said they ran out of relevant medical supplies on their last call.

Wanting to get out because they get nothing but shit for trying to do their job sounds perfectly reasonable to me. We should be more worried about the cops that stay in despite all of this shit.

I like my current job. Pays well, usually pretty easy, usually 40 hours per week. One of the best jobs opened at a neighboring district. I always heard it pays very, very, well. Today I learned it may be a $50,000 raise. I'm going to apply. It's just too much $$$ to pass up. It's more serious of an environment (current job: wild west. New job: funeral home), more hours, and suit and tie everyday. I really hate those 3 details. Is there a certain $ or % raise that is just too much to pass up.
