Some linguist guy once told me that the typical American tv (ie Californian) accent is descended from Chicago. I thought we just borrowed their pizza and incredibly lopsided towards (D) political system.

Better than unnecessary "s" to words like Jersey folk do.

Okay, so like, there are somewhere around two hundred monkeys, right? And they're all exceptionally well hung. I mean, not just by monkey standards. That would be silly.

So there's just lots and lots of monkey dong, all around. And they've all got this look in their eye...a creeper's mixture of animal lust and a genuine want to be the worst thing that ever happened to someone. I'm surrounded. There's no way out. Then, this kind of bent over hairy guy in a wife beater starts going' around rubbing their shoulders like a....like a boxer's ringside assistant, or an uncle walking by you at Christmas or something.

He's not really part of the fear...he's just sort of there.

His quiet encouragement seems to give the monkeys the sign they've been waiting for. They start moving forward...this unwashed sea of smelly dragging half-erect monkey weapon. I turn, looking desperately for a way out....

...and that's when I see Paul Stanley.

He's all Kiss'd up, you know, and he's got my whole family on leashes. They look...not hurt, really, just...tired. What happened to them? Why are they so worn down looking? I just saw them this morning!

I choose not to ask. Anyway, there's no time, because at that point, Paul Stanley tsk tsk's the monkeys and makes kind of a smoochy face at them. "Silly monkeys," he coos, "you need to eat before you can play."

And then he pushes the children forward.

Update: so far, this hasn't happened.

It's because they're actually saying "acrossed" and their accent makes it sound like a "t." It's still wrong but that's why.
