I get it through my wife's employer, but we looked into it. It was around $500/mo for bare bones coverage for the two of us, I'm sure our kid would throw that way off.

yeah, adding dental and vision, we were/are looking at like $700/month for the two of us. fucking ridiculous. throw in your deductibles and you're looking at like $10k/year for insurance for two healthy people.

at some point it honestly might be the breaking point for my current job. i love remote work so far, but might have to look elsewhere that offers some sort of plan.

I used slack at the old hospitality group I was employed by. It was a game changer when it came to figuring out events and staffing demands between concepts. Great for culture building too. I remember the “mixtape” channel we had in particular playing a key part in developing certain bar events centered around music.
