Strat, if you have bad allergies, curtains can be a handful (gathering dust, etc). The wife has asthma and terrible allergies, so I gotta vacuum mine every so often. Blinds get dusty too of course, but are much easier to clean. In my situation, I probably wouldn't put curtains in a bedroom, especially near a bed. But a living room would be fine
Its amazing what the prior owners did to the place. They left no wall untouched with some god awful painting, photo, hanging of some sorts. Ive repaired a million holes that they have left. The place was over crowded, stuffy, and dark.
We've opened it up quite a bit and we fucking love it.
Painting near the ceiling is tough work. I have some blotches that i need to touch up but it was a fun exercise. Some more painting forthcoming, but next step is probably the blinds.

This is the best brush for trim along ceilings and baseboards. We've used it in every room of the house.

I found a nice technique of of feathering the brush from below and right up to the ceiling. Unfortunately, I didnt master it till about 1/3 of the way through
Also, i lost my fucking wallet somewhere in the un-boxing,packing, cleaning process.
