I often go jogging with River through http://www.lakeperry.com and I hear rustling in the woods and imagine with high clarity what it would be like if a mountain lion attacks and the dog gets mauled while I run home... the worst part is explaining it all to my wife

you should always carry a meatloaf for the lion when you jog so that doesn't happen

Spent Saturday in Jackson, WY. Had never been before. Pretty cool place, basically Big Sky with another 50 years under its belt. Was surprised at how much of the building stock was old west. Also surprised at how great our meal was at Teton Tiger, this Pan-Asian place that delivered on par with what we might find in LA or NYC.
Not at all surprised to see a very young girl demonstrating her love of the 2nd amendment:
We drove in through YNP and hit some bad traffic. We drove out through Driggs, ID, which is a much nicer town that I would have imagined. Would love to ski Jackson sometime, but the YNP road is closed in the winter, and the mountain pass between Driggs and Jackson would be a nightmare in bad conditions.
The Tetons sure are beautiful, but it's basically Big Sky with more flowers and less bighorn sheep.

 nice riding Self. Now do one with lots of sick jumps.
I was trying to find a shortcut to a designated riding area that has lots of technical single track, jumps, etc... No dice. The gravel pit is blocked off from the area, so no shortcuts. A good friend is coming down Saturday and we're going there, so I'll take some video.

It did. Snakes creep me out. Always have. I don't like them.

Three years into MT and my curse is broken! I finally saw a bear. Not sure if brown or grizzly. Believe I saw momma about 100 yards away, but couldn't say for sure. Will x-post in the rural/mountain shit thread.
