No kidding. Our hospital is "baby-friendly," which is really just a crunchy term for not bothering to have a nursery. So our son was in the room the entire time. He wasn't so much the problem as the doctors, nurses, and other staff that would visit each hour, even throughout the night. There was absolutely no rest until we got home, which still seemed pretty stressful at the time. We went in on Thursday at 8 am, and didn't leave until Sunday afternoon around 4 pm. We are scheduling a C-section from the get go for kid #2 so hopefully we get in and out a little quicker this time around.

Good luck.

I agree about the endless interruptions by doctors and nurses. Ours was/is a teaching hospital too, so it was a parade for every visit.

There was alot of visiting.. which is absolutely necessary. Virtually the entire staff was amazing tho... We could've gone to a hospital closer to home but knew about this one's reputation.

Yeah, children's hospitals or hospital wings are the best. Great people.

Won't the surgical recovery only lengthen the stay?

Long as she's nursing, they'll stay nice and plump.
