For those of us that do have office type jobs and working today I wonder how much work will actually be done? We're open but many of our clients are closed. Today's a catch up/clean up files day. I'm holding out hope to be able to leave early (it's happened before) but have also been told business hours as usual today.

Nothing is going to get done in my office today. Nothing. Easy money.

Seriously though, how do so many people get so much time off around Christmas/New Years?
we only get 5 other holidays throughout the year, then 5 more plus 2 forced leave days between christmas eve and new years...i'm on call technically though since all the employees i support, sans one location, have to work...i'd rather just get the ten federal holidays they get and just take leave if i don't want to work between christmas and new year's though...that way my holidays would at least feel like a holiday
